The following project narrative is provided as an overview of the details of the attached
application. Feel free to contact us with any questions, clarifications or additional information.
VMDA and this owner most previously received approval on 7/7/2004 (DRB # DR6040226) for
repainting, new stone patios and stone column base treatments, wood trusses, beam tails and
columns and a fire pit addition for this single family residence, That work was completed,
We now propose the following refurbishment and replacement materials without alteration,
expansion or addition to any roofs, ridges, floor area (GRFA), garage area, hardscape, landscape
or site features, Existing materials and colors not noted are not being changed or affected. The
materials and components being proposed for replacement and/or refurbishment are noted
below.
1. Fascias and soffits: Existing materials to remain -remove loose paint, caulk and repaint to
match existing.
2. Exterior SidingJTrim & Door/Window Trim: The existing siding and trim is to be removed
entirely and replaced with new 1 x_ cedar (wavy) with b to 61 /2" exposure and to all be
stained as shown on the drawings. The existing Door and Window trim is to be replaced to
match and stained with the solid bodied stain as shown on the drawings.
3. Exterior Windows & Patio Doors: All windows and patio doors are to be replaced with same
sizes and the shapes shown on the drawings and are to be JELD-WEN Clad (Redwood
# UC90833).
4. Front Door & Sidelights: The existing double door with sidelights is proposed to be replaced
with a single door with sidelights and transom as shown on the drawings.
5. Exterior (thin) Stone Veneer & Wall Caps: Where indicated on the drawings, thin stone
veneer and stone caps are to be installed in concert with the new wood siding and trim.
