The Willard's have several small changes to their approved DRB and Building Permit Application that
they would like to submit for approval.
1. North Dormer at the Third Level Kitchen - The Willard's would like to change this from a
shed dormer to a gable dormer with a small hip to match the main dormer. See attached
elevation for more information.
2. Additional Retaining Wall at the Southeast Corner - Due to existing topography that slightly
varies from the original survey we are proposing a retaining wall at this corner to create an
exterior landing for the guest suite and exterior storage area. The proposed wall varies from 2'
to 6' in height. It will be faced with masonry veneer to match the building. The drainage plan
by Peak Land has been updated to reflect this change. See attached.
3. New Retaining Walls at the South Side - The originally approved plans had proposed to leave
the existing retaining wall in place. During demolition it was discovered that the existing wall
has no footing and the structural engineer recommended it be replaced. A new wall in a
similar but slightly changed configuration is proposed. The drainage plan by Peak Land has
been updated to reflect this change. See attached.
4. North Exterior Stair - In order to preserve an existing tree, the north exterior stair has been
revised. In lieu of a new stair and wall, the existing retaining wall will remain in place. The
existing stone stairs will be removed and replaced with a stone stair and metal railing. See
attached.
5. Roof at the East Side - We are proposing to remove a 2' wide section of roof on the east side
to clean up the elevation and open the third floor wall for a new window. See attached.
