Building Permit#B05-0022 Dear Mr. Gumon: Attached are two complete sets of revised construction documents containing the revisions noted on the plan review comment letter you sent to me on 3/11/05. The following is a list of the revisions with reference to your letter: Item 1 —Sheet T.1 a. Code information has been corrected for the 2 hr. separation between the B and R-2 occupancy. b. A note has been added stating that all existing and proposed mechanical and electrical penetrations through code required rated wall and floor assemblies are required to be firestopped. A U.L. system for each assembly penetration has been called out. Item 2—Sheet A.1 a. The wall assemblies shown on the original plan submittal have been moved to a new sheet A.3. The exterior wall type has been amended to show 5/8"type x exterior gyp sheathing, for a 1 hr. assembly. Item 3 —Sheet A.1 and Sheet A.3 a. The new entry canopy structure shown on sheet A.1 has been clouded and section references have been added, referencing architectural details for the columns, and an attic space section which have been added to sheet A.3. These details show rated assemblies, attic access, rafter space venting and attic ventilation. Item 4—Sheet A.1 a. The restroom floor plan has been corrected to show a 42"grab bar on the side of the water closet and a 36"grab bar on the rear wall. Item 5 —Sheet M.1 and E.1 a. A general note has been added to sheet M.1 stating that the ceiling cavity is a return air plenum. b. The restroom exhaust fan on sheet M.1 has been relocated to the exterior of the building. c. Item 8 on sheet E.1 has been added stating that all wiring running wild through the ceiling cavity will be plenum rated. d. A general note has been added to sheet M.1 stating that all existing pvc and abs piping in the ceiling space will be removed and replaced with cast iron pipe.
