BUILDING PERMIT ISSUANCE TIME FRAME
If this permi.t requires a Town of Vail [ire Department Approval ,Engineer''s (Pub'l ic Works) reyiew and approval , a Planning Department
review or Health Department review, and a review by the Building
Department, the estirnated time for a total review may take as long
as three weeks.
All commercial (large or small) and all multi-family permits will
have to follow the above mentioned maximum requirements. Residential
and small projects shou'l d take a'l esser amount of time. However, if
residential or smaller projects impact the various above mentioned
departments with regard to necessary review, these proJects may
also take the three week period.
Every attempt wi'll be made by this department to exped'ite this
permit as seon as possible.

In summary, Ordinance No. 6 states that it is unlawful f,or any person to litter, track or deposit any soil, rock, sand, debris or rnaterial , including trash dunpsters, portable toilets and
workruen vehicles upon any street, sidewalk, alley or public place or any portion thereof. The right-of-way on all Town of Vail streets and roads is approxirnately 5 ft. off pavement.
Thj.s ordinance will be strictly enforced by the Town of VaiI Public Works Departnent. Persons found violating this ordinance will be given a 24 hour wrLtten notice to remove-said rnaterial .fn the event the person so notified does not comply with the notice within the 24 hour tirne specified, the puttic !{orks
Department will remove said material at the expense of person notified. The provisions of this ordinance shall not be applicable to construction, maintenance or repair projects of any street or alley or any utilities in the right-a-way.
