The right-of-way on all Town of Vail streets and roads is approximately 5 ft. off pavement. This ordinance will be strictly enforced by the Town of Vail Public Works Department. Persons found violating this ordinance will be given a 24 hour written notice to remove said material. In the event the person so notified does not comply with the notice within the 24 hour time specified, the Public Works Department will remove said material at the expense of person notified. The provisions of this ordinance shall not be applicable to construction, maintenance or repair projects of any street or alley or any utilities in the right-a-way. If yes was answered to any of the above questions then a "Public Way" is required. You can pick up an application at either Community Development, located at 75 S. Frontage Road or Public Works, located at 1309 Vail Valley Drive. 2) Notice sign offs for utility companies. All utilities must field verify (locate) respective utilities prior to signing application. Some utility companies require up to a 48 hour notice to schedule a locate. 3) A construction traffic control/staging plan must be prepared on a separate sheet of paper.An approved site plan may also be used. This plan will show locations of all traffic control devices(signs, cones, etc..) and the work zone, (area of Construction, Staging, etc..). This plan will expire on Oct. 15th. and will need to be resubmitted for approval through the winter. 4) Sketch of work being performed must be submitted indicating dimensions (length, width & depth of work). This may be drawn on the traffic control plan or a site plan for the job. 5) Submit completed application to the Public Works's office for review. If required, locates will be scheduled for the Town of Vail Electricians and Irrigation crew. The locates take place in the morning but, may require up to 48 hours to perform. 6) The Public Work's Construction Inspector will review the application and approve or disapprove the permit. You will be contacted as to the status and any that may needed. Most permits are released within 48 hours of being received, but please allow up to one week to process. 7) As soon as the permit is processed, a copy will be faxed to Community Development allowing the "Building Permit" to be released. If yes was answered to any of the above questions then a "Public Way" is required. You can pick up an application at either Community Development, located at 75 S. Frontage Road or Public Works, located at 1309 Vail Valley Drive. 2) Notice sign offs for utility companies. All utilities must field verify (locate) respective utilities prior to signing application. Some utility companies require up to a 48 hour notice to schedule a locate. 3) A construction traffic control/staging plan must be prepared on a separate sheet of paper.An approved site plan may also be used. This plan will show locations . of all traffic control devices(signs, cones, etc..) and the work zone, (area of Construction, Staging, etc..). This plan will expire on Oct. 15th. and will need to be resubmitted for approval through the winter. 4) Sketch of work being performed must be submitted indicating dimensions (length, width & depth of work). This may be drawn on the traffic control plan or a site plan for the job. 5) Submit completed application to the Public Works's office for review. If required, locates will be scheduled for the Town of Vail Electricians and Irrigation crew. The locates take place in the morning but, may require up to 48 hours to perform. 6) The Public Work's Construction Inspector will review the application and approve or disapprove the permit. You will be contacted as to the status and any that may needed. Most permits are released within 48 hours of being received, but please allow up to one week to process. 7) As soon as the permit is processed, a copy will be faxed to Community Development allowing the "Building Permit" to be released. Please do not confuse the "Public Way Permit" with a "Building Permit" to do work on a project itself. You can pick up an application at either Community Development, located at 75 South Frontage Road or Public Works, located at 1309 Elkhorn Drive. • Notice sign-offs for utility companies. ALL utilities must field verify (locate) respective utilities prior to signing application. Some utility companies require up to 48 hours notice to schedule a locate. r A construction traffic control/staging plan must be prepared on a separate sheet of paper. An approved site plan may also be used. This plan will show locations of all traffic control devices (signs, cones, etc.) and the work zone, (area of construction, staging, etc.). Be aware that your resubmission for winter may be denied depending on the location of construction. Kitchen: May 14, 2003 Liahtina above the cabinets. Install an outlet with a wall switch, and rope lighting can be placed behind the crown molding. Include a separate one next to the hutch with an outlet and a wall switch for rope lighting there also. Lighting below the cabinets. Fluorescent lights with a wall switch. Lighting over the island, There will be three (3) individual pendants hung over the raised bar area of the island spaced evenly apart. Recessed cans. There will be five (5)recessed lights in the kitchen. They are represented by circles on the floor plan. The locations may vary a few inches here or there based upon the floor joists. Additionally, there are two (2) recessed cans by the hutch, for a total of seven (7) cans. These can be put on the same switch as the rope lighting for above the hutch which should be placed next to the hutch. Electrical outlets or plugs. These are identified by X on the drawing. Stove Microhood Wine cooler Refrigerator (will need plumbing line for water dispenser inside) Dishwasher Garbage disposal Air switch for operating disposal Hot water dispenser On the side of the island facing the refrigerator there needs to be an electrical outlet. Inside the tambour unit, which is located in the corner by the refrigerator, there needs to be an electrical outlet for possibly 4 plugs. This way I can access the outlet and it will not be visually exposed. The telephone. The existing phone jack or wall mount has to be relocated. My preference is NOT to have it on the back wall at all. I prefer to have it by the hutch. Can we do this? I know there is a jack already on that wall now but further down by the sofa. Can we move it to the hutch? Foyer. Replace light fixture in hallway, Relocate sconce outlet on stairway to a more centered position on the wall and install new sconce. Powder room bath. Change light fixture (same location), Check fan to see if it needs new one (it is really loud!) By the way, is it vented outside? Entry bedroom. Install fixture in ceiling. You will need to make a new outlet for this as there is none existing now, Front porch Install new fixture on the front porch. Fireplace. There is an existing electrical outlet on the left inside wall. I'm not sure this needs to be moved. We can talk about this. There is a remodel kit for recessed cans we can use for wall washing the fireplace with lights. Your questions about the fireplace led me to call the person who designed it They are preparing a side elevation and plan view for me and I will have it in two days. I will forward it to you as soon as I get it. Hearth slab is Colorado Buff Sandstone 2 1/z - 3 inches thick. 8 inches to one foot wide. You may need two or three pieces of slab. Wood storage area is veneer pieces that match the hearth slab. (use veneer pieces so it will not take up so much depth.) This is applied in a surround (back and sides). The bookcase is recessed back 8 inches The wood is alder wood. I think four doors Arch existing fire box with cultured stone veneer. Order pieces that are pre set up stone. There is a key stone in the middle and the rest runs off it.. This is a shallow arch. Leave the venting open. Don't arch so much. I think this should answer your current questions.
