Chuck and I have walked the site wr'th her, and feel that the deck (as spec'd in the drawings) will not unduly impede access to the rear of her building. Other issues: l. The location ofthe new tree: I'd recommend that it be placed in the vacant triangular tree well (whose original tenant has departed). 2. Type of new tree. anybody have any thoughts (deciduous, evergreen, specific brand', minimum height...)? 3. Should we specify some limit on the amount of trimming that my be done to the remaining pine tree (such as only the portion of limbs that extends over the proposed deck surface). 4. The BOD voted to require that the A,/C be provided with copies of necessary building permits b€fore construction begins (my interpretation of TOVs requirements - thanks to the ordinance the TOV sent me - says this needs a permit if the deck will be more than 30" above grade and will require plumbing and electrical work.). 5. Kim Yashek e-mail dated 8f27i2001 Everyone, At the request of Jim Keamey an elevation drawling is attached showing the placement of the hot tub on the deck. Thanks Chuck. Also, the front of the deck will be 6 - 8 inches off the ground, and gradually getting hire towards the back of the deck, to about 2 112 to 3 feet of the ground to accommodate the grade. There will be six pylons support the deck to the various heights. I will agree to place another tree at VP in replacement of the tree being removed. There have been two suggestions on placement. lut29t200l Page 3 of3 1 . 10 feet on the diagonal from the east side of the dumpster up the hill to the east of my unit. This would be in line with the north/east end of my unit. There other suggestion was to plec€ the tree in the triangle box also on the €ast side of the my unit. Request to build redwood deck for the placement of a hottub on the North east side of Unit 31. Attached is the spec drawling of the deck. The deck will not significantly restfic{ accBss to buildings (1.e. decks shall not extend so far as to impede access to the rear of a building). ln order to place the dgck in the proper position, thg tree ctosest to the retaining wall needs to be removed. The removal of this tree, should be an improvement to the VP property, since at the present time, this tree is almost completely laying on the ground and in the process of dying. lwould suggest that VP be responsible for the removal, but I am willing to discuss options. I have also attached a picture of the hottub that will be placed on the deck. The tub is 6'2" x 7'3" and the proposed deck is 6'4" x 8'0". I am in Vail until Monday moming, August 27th, since I know some of you are in town for the Annual meeting, maybe we can do the visual review on Sat or Sun. One last request, could I get an expeditB on this request. I am working with a group ot friends on a multiple purchase discount, and so I need to know soon, il this will work. Join vent terminal to vent pipe' Cut vent pipe such that vent terminal is located between six (6) inches and twenty-four (24) inches from nall when joined to inside vent FiPing, SeeFigure 5, 7. Insert vent pipe through thimble/opening from outside and join to vent system. Apply sealant between vent pipe and opening/thimble to provide weatherti ght seal.
