HomeMy WebLinkAboutBIGHORN 3RD ADDITION BLOCK 9 LOT 3 LEGALGte\o*r ?(G\ ltr'lAtttofi G\tsa\ cot 3 ) MEMORANDUII TO:PLANNING COIdI{ISSION FROM: DEPARTMENT OI' CO}IIMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DATE: AUGUST 12, L976 RE:Request for Rezoning of Lot 3, Block g and $ of tot 1, Block 8, Third Addition, Mrs. Erika McCa1l, representing Vail East Lodging, has requested that subject property located in the Bighorn area be rezoned, Applicant requests that Lot 3 be rezoned from MediumDensity idultiple tr'arnily to Agricultural and that Lot 1 be rezoned from Low Density Muttiple Family to Agricultural. Lot 3 is 13,942.I2 sq. ft. (.320 acres) and the $ of Lot 1, i-s 6,520.57 sq. ft, (,149 acres) and are presently zoned for lO dwelling units. The requested dorvn- zoning would reduce the density to a11ow no dwelling units. The re- zonlng is requested as the applicant feels that the topography and vegetatlon of the lot are not compatible with development and has no desire to see more units constructed in the area. The reductlon of density is in line with the Town of Vailpolicy; however there eould be a question of spot zoning as the surrounding land use is of a higher density character. Xven wi.th the possible ramifications, the Department of Community Devel"opment recomrnends approval of the requested rezoning. :3.'
