The heart of Globe's Model IN sprinkler proven actuating assembly isahe rmetically sealed frangible glass ampule that contains a precisely measured amount offluid.When heat is absorbed,the liquidwithin the bulb expands increasing the internal pressure.At the prescribed temperature the internal pressure within the ampule exceeds the strength of the glasscausing the glass to shatter.This results in water d ischarge which is distributed inapattern depen- dent upon deflector style u sed.
