For commercial or multi-family projects all sheets of the plans must be stamped. '�uilding Department Comments: 1 Add code analysis information on the plans. Include type of construction, occupancy classification, if uses are separated or non-separated, state if the new boot storage is considered incidental. 2 Add the occupant loads for all spaces to the plans. 3 Provide an exiting plan. If the Existing Evening Access Corridor serves residential occupancies then it is required to be rated and the new doors will be required to be fire rated. (IBC 1016) 4 The original type of construction is IIFR that is Type IB in the current code adopted by the Town of Vail. The floor/ceiling assembly above is required to be rated to 2 hour. Provide a detail of the existing 2 hour assembly and include a listing for the assembly. The new ceiling may have to be part of that assembly, thus requiring a rated acoustical grid/tile, opening/penetration protection, fire dampers etc. (IBC Table 601) 5 Provide a reflected ceiling plan. 6 Provide engineer stamped mechanical and electrical drawings. Engineer stamped plumbing drawings required pending information supplied for item 14. 7 Show compliance to the 2003 International Energy Conservation Code for lighting. A ComCheck compliance certificate has been adequate for the town. (IBC Chapter 11) 8 The remodel of the Rental & Repair and the Ski Tune & Storage will require that the exiting meet current code. The addition of a door will be required for exiting from the Rental Repair area. Exiting is not allowed to be through the storage area in the back and the "metal curtain wall" does not comply for exiting. (IBC 1013.2) 9 Provide a structural drawing for making the door wider accessing the ��Existing Evening Access Corridor" from "Charter Sports". 10 Change the ��Top of Counter" height for the access to °New Ski boot Storage" to meet accessibility standards for service counters, 36" max. (ANSI A117.1-1998 section 904.3) 11 Provide sufficient details on plans to verify accessibility for the ��New Retail Center Cabinetry".
