All commercial (large or small) and all multi-family permits will have to follow the above mentioned maximum requirements. Residential and small projects should take a lesser amount of time. However, if residential or smaller projects impact the various above mentioned departments with regard to necessary review, these projecls may take five (5) weeks to review and approve. Every attempt will be made by this department to expedite this permit as soon as possible. I, the undersigned, understand the plan check procedure and time frame. You can pick up an application at either Community Development, located at 75 South Fronbge Road or Public.Works, locaEd at 1309 Elkhorn Drive. Notjce sign-offs for utility companies. A construction trafflc contro/sbging plan must be prepared on a separale sheet of paper' An approved site plan may also be used. This plan will show locations of all traffic control devices (signs, cones, etc.) and tte work zone, (area of consbuction, staging, etc.). This plan will expire on November 1st and will need to be resubmitted for consideration for approval through the winter. Be awarc that your resubmission for winter may be denied depending on the location of construction. Skebh of work being performed must be submitEd indicating dimensions (length, width and deptr of work). This may be drawn on the traffic control plan or a site plan for the job. The locates take place in the morning, but may require up trc 48 hours to perform. The Public Work's Construction Inspector will review the application and approve or deny f;e permit. As soon as the permit is approved, the Building Departrnent will be notified, allowing the "Building Permit" to be released, Please do not confuse the'Public Way Permit" with a "Building Permit". NOTE: The above process is for ulork in a public way ONLY. Public Way Permits are valid only until November 15th. A new Public Way Permit is required each year if r,vlcrk is not complete.
