Re: Illegal signage
Dear Ms. Ricca:
One of the many functions of Code Enforcement is to provide for the enforcement of the
Town of Vail Municipal Codes.
It has come to our attention that the above-described property may be in violation of the
Town of Vail Municipal Codes as follows:
Reported Violation(s): You have an illegal sign which you are placing near the
bottom of the stairs. Section 11-5-2 (PROHIBITED SIGNS) of the Town Code
states, in part, that:
Prohibited Signs: The following signs shall not be permitted, erected or
maintained in the town:
G. Signs not permanently affixed or attached to the ground or to any structure
except for window signs and temporary barriers utilized for emergency purposes.
Please remedy this situation within 15 calendar days from receipt of this letter. Failure to
do so will result in a summons being issued. This letter is also to serve as notice that any
future illegal placements of signs will not be allowed.
Your prompt attention regarding this matter will be greatly appreciated and will help
assure that Vail continues to be the desirable and pleasant resort community for which we
