Dear Mr. Rose:
Enclosed, please find a copy of the letter sent to La Cantina regarding some unapproved and/or illegal signs. I am giving you a copy of this letter because you serve as the “landlord”
or representative for the Town with regards to our Transportation Center.
I am also asking for your assistance in removing the Java Depot sign located near the east entrance on the third level. Section 11-5-2 (PROHIBITED SIGNS) states, in part, that:
The following signs shall not be permitted, erected or maintained in the Town:
Any sign (together with its supporting structure) now or hereafter existing which, ninety (90) days or more after the premises have been vacated, advertises an activity, business, product
or service no longer produced or conducted upon the premises upon which such sign is located. If the sign or sign structure is covered or the identifying symbols or letters removed,
an extension of time may be granted by the Administrator upon good cause for such extension being shown. (This provision shall not apply to permanent signs accessory to businesses which
are open only on a seasonal basis, provided there is clear intent to continue operation of the business.)
