Re: Illegal window signage
Dear Mr. Blick:
One of the many functions of Code Enforcement is to provide for the enforcement of the Town of
Vail Municipal Codes.
It has come to our attention that the above-described property may be in violation of the Town of
Vail Municipal Codes as follows:
Reported Violation(s): You have an illegal amount of signage in the front windows at
this location. Section 11-4B-20(WINDOW SIGNS) of the Town Code states, in part,
that:
Window signs shall be regulated as follows:
B. Size:
1. Any sign or signs attached to or applied to the inside surface of any exterior
window will be limited to a coverage offifteen percent(IS%) of the total
window space.
D. Number: Each window frontage may contain sign or signs within the prescribed
sign limits for each frontage on a street or major pedestrianway with a maximum
or two (2)signs per frontage.
F. Design:All gas filled, illuminated, or fiber optic window signs shall be subject to
design review.
Please remedy this situation within 15 calendar days from receipt of this letter. Failure to do so
will result in a summons being issued.
