Re: Outdoor display racks, at Vail Gear, on Town of Vail property
Dear Sir or Madam:
One of the many functions of Code Enforcement is to provide for the enforcement of the
Town of Vail Municipal Codes.
It has come to our attention that the above-described property may be in violation of the
Town of Vail Municipal Codes as follows:
Reported Violation(s): Your outdoor display racks are being placed out on Town
of Vail property in front of this location.
Section 11-7B-18 (LOCATION OF BUSINESS ACTIVITY) of the Town Code
states, in part, that:
B. Outdoor Displays: The area to be used for outdoor display must be
located directly in front of the establishment displaying the goods and
entirely upon the establishment's own property. Sidewalks, building
entrances and exits, driveways and streets shall not be obstructed by
outdoor display. (Ord. 34(1982) § 1: Ord. 19(1976) §9: Ord. 8(1973) §
8.511)
We are asking that you no longer place outdoor displays on Town of Vail property.
Failure to comply will result in a summons being issued.
