ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
TOWN OF VAIL AND 4240 ARCHITECTURE; AND SETTING FORTH DETAILS
IN REGARD THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail (the "Town"), in the County of Eagle and State
of Colorado is a home rule municipal corporation duly organized and existing under
the laws of the State of Colorado and the Town Charter (the "Charter");
WHEREAS, the members of the Town Council of the Town (the "Council")
have been duly elected and qualified;
WHEREAS, the Council has adopted a Council Action Plan 2018-2020 (the
"Action Plan") to ensure Vail is the premier international mountain resort community;
WHEREAS, the Action Plan identifies four areas.of focus: Grow a vibrant,
diverse economy and community; preserve our surrounding natural environment;
providing our citizens and guests with exceptional services; and an abundance of
premier recreational, cultural and educational opportunities.
WHEREAS, the Vail Civic Area Plan, and the Council's interest in planning for
the future of the Town's properties within the plan study area, further each of the four
areas of focus identified in the Action Plan;
WHEREAS, the Town has selected 4240 Architecture to provide a scope of
design and architectural services necessary to plan for the future use, programming
and design of the Civic Area; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to authorize the Vail Town Manager to execute
a professional services agreement ("the Agreement") with 4240 Architecture for
planning and design work in the Civic Area.
NOW THEREFORE, B E IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO THAT:
Section 1. The Council hereby authorizes the Town Manager to enter into
the Agreement on behalf of the Town in a form approved by the Town Attorney.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
INTRODUCED, PASSED AND DOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Vail held this 4t day of September, 2018.
