AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17, SERIES OF
1966 BY ADDING A PROVISION PROHIBITING THE OPERATION OF
VEHICLES WITH LUG WHEELS UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN
OF VAIL:
Section 1. AMENDMENT.
That Article VI entitled Offenses Relating to Streets and Public
Grounds of Ordinance No. 17, Series of 196b entitled:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN ACTS, THINGS, CON-
DITIONS AND USES A5 OFFENSES AGAINST THE SAFETY, HEALTH,
PROSPERITY, MORALS, ORDER, COMFORT, AND CONVENIENCE
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF,
DECLARING THE SAME TO BE UNLAWFUL, AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
is hereby amended by the addition of the following new section:
Section 4.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate tractors with lug
wheels, or any vehicle with wheels injurious to pavements, upon the paved
public streets in the Town of Vail, unless the operator shall first make
adequate provision to protect said streets and receive approval from the Town
Marshal for said method of protection.
5e ction 2. EMERGENCY .
The Board of Trustees finds and determines that the passage of
this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety of the inhabitants of the Town of Vail and that this Ordin-
ance shall become effective Five (5) days after publication.
