AN ORDIIVANCE AMENDJNG ORDINANCE NO. 17, SERIES OF
196fi, MAKING THE GIVING OF FALSE REPORTS TO THE
POLICE UNLAWFUL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF VAIL:
Section 1. Amendment.
That Article VH of Ordinance No, 1.7, Series of 1966, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN ACTS, THINGS,
CONDITIONS AND USES AS OFFENSES AGAINST THE SAFETY,
HEALTH, PROSPERITY, MORALS, ORDER, COMFORT, AND
CONVENIENCE OF THE TOWN OF VAIL AND THE INHABTI'ANTS
THEREOF, DECLARING THE SAME TO BE UNLAWFUL, AND
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
is hereby amended by the addition of a Section 8, as follows:
Section 8. FALSE REPORTS.
It shall be unlawful for any person wilfully to give or make, or
cause to be given or made, in any manner, any false report to
any police officer of the Town of Vail or to any person authorized
to receive reports in behalf of the police of the Town of Vail.
Section 2. Emerctencv.
The Board of Trustees finds and determines that the passage of this
Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
and safety of the inhabitants of the Town of Vail and that this Ordinance shall.
become effective Five (~ days after publication.
