AN ORDIlVANCE AMENDING ORDIlVANCE NO. 17, SERIES OF
1966, TO IINCLUDE FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS
WIT'HIlV DEFINITI'ION OF PEACE OFFICER.
BE IT ORDAIIVED BY THE BDARD OF TRUSTEES 4F THE Z'OWN 4F VATL,
COLORADO:
Section 1, Amendment.
That Section I of Arti.cle VII of 4xclinance No. 17, Series of 1966,
entitled: "AN ORDIN'ANCE ESTABLISHTNG CERTAIN ACTS, THINGS,
CONDTI'IONS AND USES AS OFFENSES AGAINST THE SAFETY, HEALTH,
PROSPERITY, MORALS, ORDER, GOMFORT, AND CONVENIENCE 4F THE
TOWN OF VAIL AND THE IlvHABITANTS THEREOF, DECLARING THE SAME
TO BE UNLAVilFUL, AND PR4VIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION
THEREOF", is hereby amended to read as foliaws:
Secti.on 1. Definztions.
a. Peace Officer _"Peace Officer" as used
in this ordinance sha}.l include the Town Marsha.l,
any police offieer, special policemen, or other
merzber of the police department of the Town of
Vail, any county sheriff, any member of the state
palice, and federal law enforcement agent and any
deputy or asszstant of any of them. -
Section 2. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shal.l be in fu1l force and effect within 30 days
a.fter its approval by the Board of Trustees and publication as prescribed by
l.aw.
