WHEREAS, the Vail Planning Commission, after due con- ~ideration and study, has recommended amendments to the Vail Zoning Ordinance, known as Ordinance No. 7, Series of 1969, and Ordinance No. 8, Series of 1970; and WHEREAS, the amendments proposed by the Planning Commission have been submitted to pub convened by the Board of Trustees for the Town notice published in accordance with law, which attended by a substantial number of interested public discussion having been heard in respect posed amendments; and aforesaid lic hearing duly of Vail after hearing was persons, and to said pro- WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees for the Town of Vail finds good cause shown for adoption of the proposed amend- ments and that such proposed amendments a.re in the public interest; NOfhl, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWPJ OF VAIL, COLORADO: SECTION 1. ORDINANCE N0. 7, SERIES OF 1970, BE AMENDED AS FOLLOGIS ARTICLE I. GEPtERAL PROVISIONS SECTIOPJ 5. DEFINITIONS Dwelling: A single detached principal building used primarily for residential occupancy. HIGH DErISITY MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT (b) Regulatio~~s (2) Floor Area Ratio: The floor area ratio shall not exceed 1.0:1. SECTION 4. PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS DISTRICT (b) Regulations (2) Floor Area Ratio: The floor area ratio shall not exceed 1.0:1. For each square foot of a lot devoted to permanent pub- lic pedestrian use such as arcades or malls, there shall be allowed one square foot of floor area in addition to the floor area allowed under the floor area ratio, provided, however, that in no case shall the total floor area of a building exceed by more than ten percent the floor area ~~klowed~~rider the floor area ratio applicable to this district. -~ SECTION 2. ORDINANCE N0. 8, SERIES OF 1970, BE AMENDED AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. (b) Regulations (2) Floor Area Ratio: The floor area ratio shall not exceed 1.25:1. For each square foot of a lot devoted to permanent pub- lic pedestrian use such as arcades or malls there shall be allowed one square foot of floor area in addition to the floor area allowed under the floor area ratio, provided, however, that in no case shall the total floor area of a building exceed by more than ten percent the floor area allowed under the floor area ratio applicable to this district. SECTIOPI 3. THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER ITS APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND FINAL PUBLICATION AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW. A ~.
