AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE TOWN OF VAIL CERTAIN
TERRITORY SITUATED IN THE NORTH HALF OF SECTION
EIGHT (8), TOWNSHIP FIVE (5), SOUTH, RANGE EIGHTY
(80) WEST OF THE SIXTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, COUNTY
OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO; AND SETTING FORTH
j DETAILS IN RELATION THERETO.
., WHEREAS, a Petition for Annexation of Territory into
the Town of Vail, Colorado ( a municipal corporation ) has been
duly filed with the Town of Vail by Vail Associates, Inc., a
Colorado corporation, requesting the annexation of certain
property into the Town of Vail; and
WHEREAS, all of the territory described in said
Petition is owned by Vail Associates, Inc., and said Petition
complies with the provisions and requirements of Chapter 139,
Article 21 of C.R.S. (1963) as amended, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees for the Town of Vail
finds that annexation of the territory herein described is
necessary and desirable, and in the best interests of the
Town of Vail, and that said territory should be annexed into
the Town of Vail;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. The following described territory, owned
by Vail Associates, Inc., a Colorado corporation,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to the Town of
Vail, Colorado:
A part of the north half of Section 8, Township 5
South, Range 80 West of the 6th Principal Meridian,
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, lying North of
Interstate Highway No. 70 Right-of-way described as:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Section
8, thence S 89°46'27" W 1100.00 feet along the North
line of said Section 8; thence S 21°36'46" W 620.40
feet to a point on the Northerly Right-of-way line
of said Interstate Highway No. 70; thence Easterly
on said Right-of-way line 1327.90 feet along the arc
of a 5580.00 foot radius curve to the left whose
long chord bears N 89°36'34" E 1324.70 feet to a
point on the East line of said Section 8; thence
N 0°23'03" E 572.10 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 16.7711 acres, more or less.
Section 2. The territory described in this ordinance
shall be and the same is hereby zoned "Agricultural",
in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the Town
of Vail, Ordinance No. 7 (Series of 1969), as amended,
and is subject to the provisions of same and subject
to the uses for such "Agricultural District", as
therein set forth; and the official zoning map for
the Town of Vail shall be amended to indicate the
inclusion of said property and the zoning of same
as herein provided.

Section 3. The Board of Trustees finds that this
Ordinance is necessary to preserve and perpetuate
the welfare of the Town of Vail; that this Ordinance
shall become effective upon its adoption and publica-
tion in accordance with the laws of the State of
Colorado.
