A SUPPIEME~T.CAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURES
OF FUNDS BY THE TOWN OF VAIL IN EXCESS OF ~rlr; Z~OWN
BiJDC~T FOR 1971, AND li~~RING AND lir~r•IlJING ~~~
E~ FOR SUC~i APPROPRIATION.
Wr~;t~AS, niu~.~.,as contingencies have arisen during the fiscal
year 1971, which could not have },ten reasonably foreseen or anticipated
by the Board of Trustees at the time of the adoption of the budget
for the year 1971; and

Wf~ctr;AS, the Town of Vail has received certain revenues not
budgeted for previously; and
Wl~ctrAS, the r."~.alation of the Town of Vail, and the use
and demarxi for municipal services within the Town, has expanded at
a greater rate than previously anticipated; and
4AS, the Town has incurred obligations for municipal
purposes, including general services, cultural and recreation r~~~4.~~,
and public safety projects; and
Wlir.~~;AS, the Town has ~.~~~iously adapted a budget which has
not taken into consideration the increased revenues received by the
%~ municipality this fiscal year, .ate has said budget taken into consideration
the incrAa~Qd expenditures necessary to N~~~ide adequate municipal
' services for the Town, including general services, cultural and
recreation programs, and public safety ~~jects; and
Wf~.tct~.S, due to the contingencies which could not have Lcwa
foreseen at the time of the adoption of the Town's budget, the Board
of Trustees considers an eme~y~~cy exists and that emergency arrl~'
riations and e~,~,ditures be authorized as hereinbelow r~~vided.
BE IT ORDAII~D EY THE BOARD OF TRUS•.~•rr:S OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COIARADO:
Section 1. There is hereby «~,~,~~,~iated to the General
Fund, the sum of $44,000.00.
Section 2. That there is hereby authorized the ea.~-~-iture
of the sum of 544,000.00, for the fiscal year 1971, including general
services, cultural and recreation N~vyL~~~, and public safety r~~jects.
Section 3. E1~.~..,encv The Board of Trustees finds and determines
that the passage of this ordinance is necessary for the i.....~.liate
preservation of the public health and safety of the inhabitants of the
Town of Vail, and that this ordinance shall L~~~~~ effective Five (5)
days after publication.
