ANNUA L APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE: ADOPTING A
BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING SUMS OF MONEY TO
DEFRAY EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF THE TOWN
OF VAIL, COLORADO, FOR THE TOWN'S FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING JANUARY 1 , 1973, AND ENDING ON THE
LAST DAY OF DECEMBER, 1973.
WHEREAS, 'the Town Council has adopted a budget For the Town
For the fiscal year beginning January 1 , 1973, and ending on 'the last day
of December, 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has made the property 'tax levy a~t
the rate of 5.4 mills upon each dollar of the total assessed valuation of
all taxable property within 'the Town, such levy representing the amount
of taxes for Town purposes necessary to provide for payment during the
Town's said Fiscal year of all properly authorized demands upon the
treasury; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held be Fore 'the Town Council on
December 1 , 1972, Following public notice of same in accordance with the
Charter for the Town of Vail; and
WHEREAS, 'the Town Council is now desirous of making appropria-
tions For the ensuing Fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF VAI L, COLORADO:
Section 1 . That the Following appropriations are hereby made For
the Town of Vail, Colorado, For the Fiscal year beginning January 1 , 1973,
and ending on 'the last day of December, 1973, From the General Fund For
the payment of operating expenses and capital outlay of 'the general govern-
ment, public saFety, public works, recreation, public health and contingencies:
General Government $242,325.00
Public Safety 247,020.00
Public Works 216,726.00
Health and WelFare 14,345.00
Culture and Recreation 13, 125.00
Economic Development and
Community Assistance 76,005.00
Debt Service 1,500.00
In~tergovernment Cooperation 5,000.00
Transfer to Other Town Funds
and Entities 60,000.00
Sub-Total, General Fund £376,046.00
There is appropriated From the open space/capital improvements fund For the
Fiscal year beginning January 1 , 1973, and ending on the last day of December,
1973 , the sum oF:
$392,095.00
There is appropriated From the Heavy Equipment Fund For the fiscal year
beginning Jarx,iary 1 , 1973, and ending on the last day of December, 1973,
the sum of:
$ 45,500.00

Section 2. The full and complete budget For 'the Town of Vail For
the fiscal year 1973 is incorporated by reference in this ordinance as if
set forth herein verbatim and specifically made a part of this ordinance.
