A SUPPLEMENTAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURES OF FUNDS BY THE TOWN OF VAIL
IN EXCESS OF THE TOWN BUDGET FOR 1973, AND
SETTING FORTH MATTERS AND DETAI LS IN REl~4TION
THERETO.
WHEREAS, contingencies have arisen during the Fiscal year 1973,
which could not have been reasonab [y foreseen or anticipated by the Town
Council at the time of the adoption of the budget for the year 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail has received certain revenues not
budgeted for previously; and
WHEREAS, the Town has previously adoptdd a budget which has not
taken into consideration the increased revenues received by the municipality
this fiscal year, nor has said budget taken into consideration the increased
expenditures necessary to provide adequate municipal services for the Town,
including general services, cultural and recreation programs, and public
safety projects; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has certified to the Town Council that
sufFicient funds are available to discharge the appropriations referred to
herein, not otherwise reflected in the budget, in accordance with Section
9.10(a) of the Charter for the Town of Vail; and
WHEREAS, due to the contingencies which could not have been Foreseen
at the time of the adoption of the Town's budget, the Town Council considers
that a need exists to approve a supplemental appropriation for the purposes
hereinafter set Forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1 . Appropriation for Expenditures from the Genera[ Fund.
There is hereby appropriated From the General Fund for the Town of
Vait the sum of $131,500.00. The Town Council hereby authorizes the
expenditure of the sum of $131 ,500.00 from the General Fund for the Town
of Vail for the following purposes:

Improvement Fund for the Town of Vail the sum of $138,202.00. The
Town Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of the sum aF $138,202 .00
from the Open Space and Capital Improvement Fund for the Town of Vail for
the following purposes:

ment Assistance Administration Police Grant Fund,
There is hereby appropriated from the Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration Police Grant Fund for the Town of Vaii the sum of $40,000,00,
The Town Council hereby authorizes the expenditure' of the sum of $40,000,00
from the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration Police Grant Fund
for the Police Station Remode Ping .
