AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SECOND SUPPLEMENTAL
APPROPRIATION FROM THE GEP7ERAL FUND OF THE
1974 BUDGET AND FINANCIAL PLAN FOR THE TOWN
OF VAIL, COLORADO
WIiEREAS, contingencies have arisen during the
fiscal year 1974, which could not have been reasonably
foreseen or anticipated by the Town Council at the time
it enacted Ordinance No. 25, Series of 1973, adopting the
1974 Budget and Financial Plan of the Town of Vail,
Colorado;
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail, Colorado, hereinafter
referred to as the "Town", has received certain revenues
not budgeted for previously;
WIiEREAS, the Town has previously adopted a budget
which has not taken into consideration the increased revenues
received by the municipality this fiscal year, not has said
budget taken into consideration the increased expenditures
necessary to provide adequate municipal services for the
Town;
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has certified to the Town
Council that sufficient funds are available to discharge the
appropriation referred to herein, not otherwise reflected in
the budget, in accordance with Section 9.10 (a) of the Charter
of the Town of Vail, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, due to the aforesaid contingencies the Town
Council considers that it should make a supplemental appropriation
for the purposes hereinafter set forth;
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Title.
This ordinance .shall be known as the "Ordinance
Making a Second Supplemental Appropriation from General Fund
of 1974 Town Budget".
Section 2. Second supplemental appropriation from
General Fund; authorization for expenditure of said
appropriation.
The Town Council hereby makes a second supplemental
appropriation in the sum of $5,000.00 from the Economic
Development and Community Action allocation of the General
Fund of the 1974 Budget and Financial Plan for the Town of
Vail, Colorado, and authorizes the expenditure of said
appropriation by the Town Manager in a reasonable manner
far the operation of the Vail Nature Centre in 1974.
Section 3. Effective date.
This ordinance shall take effect five days after
publication following the final passage hereof.
Section 4. Supplement to Annual Appropriation Ordinance.
Upon its enactment this ordinance is a supplement to
the 1974 Annual Appropriation Ordinance, Ordinance No. 25,
Series of 1973, of the 'T'own of Vail, Colorado.
INTRODUCED, REF.~D ON I'IRST READING, APPROVED, AND
ORDERED PUBLISHED ONCE I:N FULL, this 2nd day of July, 1974,
and a public hearing on this ordinance shall be held at the
regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Vail,
Colorado, on the I6th day of July, 1974, at 7:30 P.M., in
the Municipal Building of the Town.

Re: Second supplemental appropriation from the General
Fund of the 1974 Budget and Financial Plan for the
operation of the Vail Nature Centre in 1974
Gentlemen and Mrs. Klug:
Pursuant to Section 9.10 (a) of the Charter of the Town of
Vail, Colorado, I hereby certify that based on apparently
reliable information from the Finance Department there are
available for appropriation revenues in excess of those
estimated in the 1974 Budget and Financial Plan of the Town
which will enable the Town Council to make a supplemental
appropriation of $5,000.00 for the operation of the Vail
Nature Centre in 1974.
Accordingly, I recommend that the Town Council promptly
enact a supplemental appropriation ordinance for this
purpose.
