AN ORDINANCE MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL APPRO-
PRIATION FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE 1975
BUDGET AND FINANCIAL PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF
VAIL, COLORADO
WHEREAS, contingencies have arisen during the fis-
cal year 1975, which could not have been reasonably foreseen
or anticipated by the Town Council at the time it enacted
Ordinance No. 30, Series of 1974, adopting the 1975 Budget
and Financial Plan of the Town of Vail, Colorado;
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail, Colorado, hereinafter
referred to as the "Town", has received certain revenues not
budgeted for previously;
WHEREAS, the Town has previously adopted a budget
which has not taken into consideration the increased revenues
received by the municipality this fiscal year, nor has said
budget taken into consideration the increased expenditures
necessary to provide adequate municipal services for the Town;
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has certified to the Town
Council that sufficient funds are available to discharge the
appropriation ref erred to herein, not otherwise reflected in
the budget, in accordance with Section 9.I0(a) of the Charter
of the Town of Vail, Colorado; .. •.
WHEREAS, the Vail. Today and Tomorrow Goals Committees
were established by the Town Council for the purpose of outlin-
ing future goals and priorities for the Town;
WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the purposes for
which they were established, the Vail Today and Tomorrow Goals
Committees are in need of sufficient funds to cover their costs
of operation; and
WHEREAS, due to the aforesaid contingencies the Town
Council considers that it should make a supplemental appropria-
tion for the purposes hereinafter set forth;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAIriED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. Title.
This ordinance shall be known as the "Ordinance
Making a Supplemental Appropriation from General Fund of 1975
Town Budget" .
Section 2. Supplemental Appropriation from General
Fund; Authorization for Expenditure of Said Appropriation.
Pursuant to Section 9.10(a) of the Charter of the
Town of Vail, Colorado, the Town Council hereby makes a supple-
mental appropriation in the sum of $10,000.00 from the General
Fund of the 1975 Budget and Financial Plan for the Town of Vail,
Colorado, and authorizes the expenditure of said appropriation
by the Town Manager in a reasonable manner for the operation of
the Vail Today and~Tomorrow Goals Committees during the 1975
fiscal year.
Section 3. Effective Date.
This ordinance shall take effect upon the passage
hereof in accordance with Section 9.10(e) of the Charter of
the Town.
Section 4. Amendment to Annual Appropriation
Ordinance.
Upon its enactment this ordinance shall be an amend--
ment to the 1975 Annual Appropriation Ordinance, Ordinance No.
30, Series of 1974, of the Town of Vail, Colorado.

PASSAGE ON THIS DATE, ORDERID PUBLISHED ONCE IN FULL WITHIN

Re: Supplemental appropriation for the funding of the
Vail Today and Tomorrow Goals Committees from the
1975 Town Budget and Financial Plan
Gentlemen and Ms. Klug:
Pursuant to Section 9.10(a) of the Charter of the Town of
Vail, Colorado, I hereby certify that based on apparently
reliable information from the Finance Department there are
available for appropriation expected revenues in excess of
those estimated in the 1975 Budget and Financial Plan for
the Town of Vai•1 which will enable the Town Council to make
a supplemental appropriation of $10,000.00 for the funding
of the Vail Today and Tomorrow Goals Committees during the
1975 fiscal year.
Accordingly, I recommend that the Town Council promptly enact
a supplemental appropriation ordinance for this purpose.
