AN ORDINANCE MAKING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRI-
ATIOPdS FROvf THE 1975 BUDGET AND FINANCIAL
PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO
WHEREAS, contingencies have arisen during the fiscal
year 1975 which could not have been reasonably foreseen or anti-
cipated by the Town Council at the time it enacted Ordinance No.
30, Series of 197, adopting the 7.975 Budget and Financial Plan
for the Town of Vail, Colorado;
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail, Colorado, hereinafter
referred to as the "Town", has received certain revenues not
budgeted for previously;
WHEREAS, the Tawn previously adopted a Budget which
has not taken into consideration the increased revenues received
by the municipality this fiscal year, nor has said Budget taken
into consideration the increased expenditures necessary to pro-
vide adequate municipal services for the Town;
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has certified to the Town
Council that sufficient funds are available to discharge the
appropriations indicated herein, not otherwise reflected in the
Budget, in accordance with Section 9.I0(a) of the Charter of the
Town of Vail, Colorado; and
WHEREAS, for the aforesaid reasons the Town Council
considers that it should make supplemental appropriations for the
purposes herein set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Title.
This ordinance shall be known as the "Ordinance Puking
Supplemental Appropriations from 1975 Town Budget".

Section 2. Supplemental Appropriation from General
Fund; Authorization far Expenditure of Appropriation.
Pursuant to Section 9.10 (a) of the Charter of the
Town of Vaii, Colorado, the Town Council. hereby makes a supple-
mental appropriation in the sum of $120,000.00 from the General
Fund of the 1975 Budget and Financial Plan .for the Town, and
authorizes the expenditure of said appropriation by the Town
i~Ianager for the following purposes and in the following amounts:
A. Bus service (outlying areas) $15,000.00
B. Legal fees 15,000.00
C. Tow truck operation 13,000.00
D. Police Department overtime pay 12,000.00
E. Dog pound expenses 10,000.00
F. Teen Center grant 9,000.00
G. Bus system expenses 7,000.00
H. Telephone expenses 7,000.00
I. Municipal Building repairs 6,000.00
J. Summer recreational programs 5,000.00
K. Contingency 21,000.00
Section 3. Supplemental Appropriation from Open Space/
Capital Improvements Fund; Authorization for Expenditure of
Appropriation.
Pursuant to Section 9.10 (a) of the Charter, the Town
Council hereby makes a supplemental appropriation in the sum of
$230,000.00 from the Open Space/Capital Impravements Fund of the
1975 Budcret and Financial Plan, and authorizes the expenditure
of said appropriation by the Town Manager in payment on the debt
owing by the Town on the Vail Transportation Center.
Section 4. Supplemental Appropriation from Recreational
Amenities Fund; Authorization for Expenditure of Appropriation.
Pursuant to Section 9.10(a) of the Charter, the Town
Council hereby makes a supplemental appropriation in the sum of
$63,000,00 from the Recreational Amenities Fund of the 1975 Budget

and Financial Dian, and authorizes the expenditure of said
appropriation by the Town Manager for the following purposes
and in the following amounts:
A. Athletic field development
(Tract A)
B. Antholz Bridge completion
C. Landscaping (various)
D. Contingency
Section 5. Supplemental Appropriation

from Teen
Center Grant Fund; Authorization for Expenditure of Appropriation.
Pursuant to Section 9.10(a) of the Charter, the Town
Council hereby makes a supplemental appropriation in the sum of
$16,000.00 from the Teen Center Grant Fund of the 1975 Budget and
Financial Plan, and authorizes the expenditure of said appro-
priation by the Town Manager for the Teen Center program.
Section 6. Supplemental Appropriation from Vail Trans-
portation Center Construction Fund; Authorization for Expenditure
of Appropriation,
Pursuant to Section 9.10 (a) of the Charter, the Town
Council hereby makes a supplemental appropriation in the sum of
$140,000.00 from the Vail Transportation Center Construction Fund,
and authorizes the expenditure of said appropriation by the Town
Manager for the construction of the East P~eadow Mall Plaza.
Section 7. Effective Date.
This ordinance shall take effect upon the passage hereof
in accordance with Section 9.10 (e) of the Charter of the Town of
Vail, Colorado.
Section 8. Amendment to 1975 Annual Appropriation
Ordinance.
Upon its enactment this ordinance shall be an amendment
to the 1975 Annual Appropriation Ordinance, Ordinance No. 30,
Series of 1974, of the Town of Vail, Colorado,

Councilpersons:
Pursuant to Section 9.10 (a) of the Charter of the Town of Vail,
Colorado, I hereby certify that based on apparently reliable
information from the Finance Department there are available for
appropriation expected revenues in excess of those estimated in
the 1975 Budget and Financial Plan for the Town of Vail which
wi11 enable the Town Council to make supplemental appropriations
totalling $569,000.00 for various municipal purposes, programs,
and functions during the 1975 fiscal year.
Accordingly, 1 recommend that the Town Council promptly enact a
supplemental appropriations ordinance for these purposes.
