ANNUAL MILL LEVY ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE
THE LEVY, ASSESSMENT, AND COLLECTION
OF TOWN AD VALOREM PROPERTY TAXES FOR
THE 1980 FISCAL YEAR; AND SETTING
FORTH DETAILS RELATING THERETO.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article IX of the Charter
of the Town of Vail, Colorado, the Town Manager has prepared
and submitted to the Town Council a proposed long-range capital
program for the Town and a proposed budget and financial plan
for all Town Funds and activities for the 1980 fiscal year;
WHEREAS, public hearings on the proposed Town budget and
capital program have begun; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Statutes of the State of

Colorado, the Town Council hereby sets the Mill Levy for the Town
of Vail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1. For the purpose of defraying part of the
operating expenses of the Town of Vail, Colorado, during its 1980
fiscal year, the Town Council hereby levies a property tax of
3.40 mills upon each dollar of the total assessed valuation of
$65,844,110 for the 1979 tax year of all taxable property within
the Town, which will result in a gross tax levy of $223,89, said
assessment having been duly made by the County of Eagle, State
of Colorado, and directs the Finance Director to certify said tax
levy to the County of Eagle for collection pursuant to Title 39,
Colorado Revised Statutes (1973, as amended), and as otherwise
required by law.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect five days
after publication following the final passage hereof.
INTRODUCED, READ ON FIRST READING, APPROVED, AND ORDERED
PUBLISHED ONCE IN FULL, this 6th day of November, 1979, and a
public hearing on this ordinance shall be held at the regular
meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Vail, Colorado, on
the 20th day of November, 1979, at 7:30 P.b4. in the Municipal
Building of the Town.
