AN aRDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 8.10.020 AND 8.10.030
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TEiE TOWN aF VAIL TO PROVIDE
FOIL INCREASED FEES IN l"HE PROVISION OF FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES
OUT OF THE TOWN LIMITS; AND SETTING FORTH DETAILS IN REGARD THERETO
WHEREAS the Town Council hereby determines that the fees for the pravision of
fire protection services outside of the Tawn of Vail should be increased to reflect
the increased cast of the provision of such services, and to compensate for
inflation;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL. OF THE TOWN OF VAII., COLORADO:
].. Section 8.1fl.O20 Fees is hereby amended to read as follows;
~.1a.o2D Fees
The Town of Vail Fire Department shall respond to requests far fire protection
services out of the Town limits, and shall charge the fallowing fees. A minimum
charge far each response shall be no less than one hour.
Medical Calls: $150 per hour.
Pumper Truck: $250 per hour.
La~ider Truck: $500 per hour.
Charge for hour
for each individual
responding to call: $35 per hour.
2. Section 8.10.030 Optional Fees for Commercial Dwellings shall be amended to
read as follows:
$.1q.030 Optional Fees
As an option to the fee schedule set forth in Section 8.10.020, the Town of Vail
may enter into contracts with property owners who live outside of Town limits for
the pravision of fire protection services at a rate of not less .14 dollars per
square foot.
3. Chapter 810 is hereby amended by the addition of Section 8.10.035 to read as
follows:
8.10.035 Rd.iustment for Inflation
The fees and rates set Earth in Section 8.20.020 and 8.10.030 of this chapter
shall be automatically increased each year by the percentage the Consumer Price
Index has increased aver the preceding year.
4. All bylaws, orders, resolutions and ordinances, ar parts thereof,
inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed to the extent only of such inconsistency.
This repealer shall not be construed to revise any bylaw, order, resolution or
ordinance, or part thereof, heretofore repealed,
