AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF VAIL
BY THE ADDITION OF CHAPTER 10.2$ -PARKING INFRACTIONS;
AND SETTING FORTH DETAILS IN REGARD THERETO.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Town Council pf the Town of Vail, Colorado:
1. Title 14 of the Municipal Code of the Town of Vail is hereby amended by the
addition of Chapter 14.28 to read as follows:
Chapter 14.28 -Parking In#ractions
Section 10.28.014 -Penalties
Every person who is convicted of, who admits liability for, or against wham a judgement
is entered for a parking violation, shall be fined or penalized $16A0.
Section 14-28-D2D -Late Fees
Whenever enforcement is initiated by the issuance of a parking ticket and a fine or a
penalty is not received by the Municipal Court, or the owner or driver does not appear in the
Municipal Court to set a hearing on the allegation within twenty-one (21) days of the date of issue,
the fine or penalty as set forth in Section 14.28:D14 of this Chapter shall be increased by a late
fee of $S.DD.
2. !f any part, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is #or
any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance, and the Town Council hereby declares it would have passed this ordinance, and
each part, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase thereo#, regardless of the fact that any
one or more parts, sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared invalid.
3. The Town Council hereby finds, determines, and declares that this ordinance is
necessary and proper for the health, safety, and welfare of the Town of Vail and the inhabitants
thereof.
~. The repeal or the repeal and reenactment of any provision of the Municipal Code
of the Town of Vail as provided in this ordinance shall not affect any right which has accrued, any
duty imposed, any violation that occurred prior to the effective date hereof, any prosecution
commenced, nor any other action or proceedings as commenced under or by virtue of the
provision repealed or repealed and reenacted. The repeal ofi any provision hereby shall not
revive any provision or any ordinance previously repealed or superseded unless expressly stated
herein.

~_ Ali bylaws, orders, resolutions, and ordinances, or parts thereof, inconsistent
herewi#h are repealed to the extent only of such inconsistency. This repeater shall not be
construed to revise any bylaw, order, resolution, or ordinance, or part thereof, theretofore
repealed.
INTRODUCED, READ, APPROVED, AND ORDERED PUC3LfSf-lED ONCE IN FULL ON
FIRST READING this 16th day of June 1992, and a public hearing shall be held on this
Ordinance on the 7th day of July, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Vail
Municipal Building, Vail, Colorado.
