AN ORDINANCE MAKING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS AND BUDGET
AD3USTMENTS FROM TT-IE TOWN OF VAIL GENERAL FUND, CAPITAL PROJECTS
FUND, AND HEALTH INSi1RANCE FUND OF TIIE 1999 BUDGET AND THE FINANCIAL
PLAN FQR THE TOWN OF VAIL, COLORADO; AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURES
OF SAID Al'PRDPRIATIONS AS SE'T FORTH HEREIN; AND SETTING FORTH DETAILS IN
REGARD THERETO.
WHEREAS, contingencies have arisen during the fiscal year 1999 which could net have
been reasonably foreseen or anticipated by the Town Council at the time it enacted Ordinance No.
17, Series of 199$, adopting the 1999 Budget and Financial Plan for the Town of Vail, Colorado;

WHEREAS, the Town has received certain revenues not budgeted for previously; and,
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has certified to the Tawn Council that sufficient funds are
available to discharge the appropriations referred to herein, not otherwise reflected in the Budget,
in accordance with Section 9.10{a} of the Charter of the Town of Vail; and,
Wl-IEREAS, in order to accomplish the foregoing, the Town Council Finds that it should zxiake
certain supplemental appropriations and budget adjustments as set Earth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF VAIL, COLORADO that:
1. Pursuant to Section 9.10{a) of the Charter of the Town of Vail, Colorado, the Town
Council hereby makes the following supplemental appropriations and budget adjustments for the
1999 Budget and Financial Plan for the Town of Vail, Colorado, and authorizes the expenditure of
said appropriations as fellows:

Health Insurance Fund 140,000
Capital Projects Fund 89.500

2. If any part, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance is far any
reason held to be invalid, such decision shall net affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
ordinance; and the Town Council hereby declares it would have passed this ordinance, and each part,
section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase thereof, regardless of the fact that any one or z~nore
pa1•ts, sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared izavalid.

3. Tl~e Town Council hereby #inds, determines, and declares that this ordinance is
necessary and proper for the heaitl~, safety, and welfare of the Town of Vail and the inhabitants
thcreof
4. The repeal or the repeal and reenactment of any provision of the Municipal Code of
the Town of V~iil as provided in this ordinance shall not affect any right which has accrued, any duty
unposed, any violation that occurred prior to the effective date hereof, any prosecution commenced,
nor any other action ax proceedings as commenced under or by virtue of the provision repealed or
repealed and reenacted. The repeal of any provision hereby shall not revive any provision or any
ordinance previously repealed or superseded unless expressly stated herein.
S. All bylaws, orders, resolutions, and ordinances, or parts thereof, inconsistent herewith
are repealed to the extend only of such inconsistency. This repealer shall not be construed to revise
any bylaw, order, resolution, or ordinance, or part thereof, theretofore repealed.
INTRODUCED, READ, APPROVED, AND ORDERED PUBLISHED ONCE IN FULL
ON FIRST READING this 7`'` day of December, 1999, and a public hearing shall be held on this
Ordinance on the 21 g` day of December, 1999, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Vail
Municipal Building, Vail, Colorado
