AGENDA June Meeting Materials This is a joint meeting of the Town of Vail’s three economic development boards and commissions, lead by Town of Vail Staff and Civic Area Plan contracted partners
o Vail Economic Advisory Council
o Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council o Commission on Special Events
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss priorities and needs for the Vail Civic Area
Plan. Questions to address:
• What kind of facility is needed as part of the Civic Area Plan, now and in coming decades?
• What do we need as a resort community to ensure economic vitality and a competitive edge? What are we missing?
• What kind of facility would help your business grow revenue?
• What can we do to boost low demand periods in Vail?
• What missed opportunities can we address with the Civic Area Plan?
• What does success look like?
We ask that you familiarize yourself with the Vail’s Civic Area Plan. Matt Gennett, Community Development Director, will present a high level overview of the Civic Area Plan at the beginning of the meeting.
Your feedback will be consolidated, documented and provided to the Town Council as part of the Civic Area Plan update on June 18, 2019. Next Meeting Tuesday, July 9, 2019 Vail Town Council Chambers – 8:00am
