Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com Data as of: 06/30/2019 Vail Production Notes RAO PRODUCTION NOTES: General RAO Notes: ➢ All months on the books are showing an increase in inventory, except September, compared to last year at this time. o June: +3,836 RNA or +128 units per day o July: +2,460 RNA or +79 units per day o August: +1,498 RNA or +48 units per day o September: -261 RNA or -9 units per day o October: +1,057 RNA or +34 units per day o November: +3,418 RNA or +114 units per day o December: +2,423 RNA or +78 units per day ➢ On the books occupancy is down -8.69% (-5.55% last month) over last year, while historic actual occupancy is down -0.67% (+3.71% last month) over last year ➢ On the books ADR is up +1.11% (-0.76% last month) over last year, while historic actual ADR is up +0.74% (-2.4% last month) over last year ➢ On the books RevPAR is down -7.67% (-6.18% last month) over last year while historic actual RevPAR is up +0.07% (+1.22% last month) over last year Summer Season: ➢ June gained +5.5% as an absolute measure of occupancy in June o Bookings made in June for June are down -2.2% in absolute variance vs those made last year in June for June ➢ July gained +9% as an absolute measure of occupancy in June o Bookings made in June for July are down -3.7% in absolute variance vs those made last year in June for July ➢ August gained +5.3% as an absolute measure of occupancy in June o Bookings made in June for August are down -4.8% in absolute variance vs those made last year in June for August ➢ September gained +2.7% as an absolute measure of occupancy in June o Bookings made in June for September are down -1.1% in absolute variance vs those made last year in June for September ➢ October gained +0.4% as an absolute measure of occupancy in June o Bookings made in June for October are down -1.6% in absolute variance vs those made last year in June for October ➢ As a measure of RevPAR summer season is now down -12.71% (-7.8% last month) compared to last year as of June 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of ADR summer season is now down -0.41% (+0.94% last month) compared to last year as of June 30, 2018 Copyright (c) 2019, Sterling Valley Systems All Rights Reserved. Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com ➢ As a measure of Occupancy summer season is now down -12.36% (-7.39% last month) compared to last year as of June 30, 2018 ➢ August and October are the only months showing an occupancy gain over last summer season ➢ There are no months showing ADR gains over last summer season Winter Season: ➢ November gained +0.5% as an absolute measure of occupancy in June o Bookings made in June for November are even in absolute variance vs those made last year in June for November ➢ December is now on the books, showing 12.84% occupancy, up +29.86% over last year at this time. ➢ As a measure of RevPAR, winter season is now up +4.51% (-35.1% last month) compared to last year as of June 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of ADR, winter season is now down -4.32% (+5.62% last month) compared to last year as of June 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of Occupancy, winter season is now up +9.23% (-38.55% last month) compared to last year as of June 30, 2018 DOR PRODUCTION NOTES: June: ➢ June closed the month with only 2 days outperforming last year. o Inventory increases played a small factor in the underperformance, but there was additionally a decrease in bookings on most days of the month. o The GoPro Mountain Games brought one of the two days of outperformance for the month. ▪ The event actualized with 6/5 being equivalent with last year, 6/6 having an increase over last year, and 6/7 and 6/8 underperformed last year. o June experienced small increases in inventory that are consistent across the month. July: ➢ July is seeing some outperformances around Independence Day, as well as from the 19th to the 24th. o The beginning of the month has seen some decline since the last report. o Underperformances noticed from the 10th to 18th have decreased their variance slightly since last report. o The period around the 25th of the month has stayed stagnant since the last report. o The 4th of July is currently up +15.89% over last year and has noticed an increase in bookings since the last report. o Inventory has experienced small increases over last year. August: ➢ August is still underperforming last year for the majority of the month o The largest losses have been noticed around the 15th and the 28th, a trend that has been prominent for 3 report cycles now. The downtrend around the 15th has yet again grown since the last report. o Small declines since last report have been noted for every week of the month. September: ➢ September has experienced very little activity since the last report, a trend that has been noticed for the past 2 reports, with changes noticed around the first 2 weeks of the month. o The only gains since last report are noticed on the 8th and 9th of the month and have decreased slightly since the last report. o The largest losses are around the 22nd of the month and have stayed stagnant for the last 3 reports. o Inventory is almost equivalent with last year throughout the month. October: ➢ October has seen little change since the last report, as the majority of the month is equivalent with last year’s performance. o There are outperformances noticed around the 4th-8th, 19th – 22nd, and around Halloween. o Inventory is very slightly down over last year. November: ➢ November has experienced little activity for the month. Since it is 4 months out, we expect to see more bookings fill in during the coming months. o The most pronounced outperformance is on the 6th, up +3.39% (+2.69% last report) over last year. o Inventory has increased slightly over last year. December: ➢ December has just come on the books and is showing outperformances around the first week and the last 2 weeks of the month. o The largest outperformances are noticed at the end of the month. o Inventory has increased slightly versus last year.
