Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com Data as of: 09/30/2019 Vail Production Notes RAO PRODUCTION NOTES: General RAO Notes: ➢ All months, except November and December, are showing an increase in inventory compared to last year at this time, a measure noticed in the last report as well o September: +1,148 RNA or +38 units per day o October: +463 RNA or +15 units per day o November: -690 RNA or -23 units per day o December: -40 RNA or -4 units per day o January: +372 RNA or +12 units per day o February: +2,461 RNA or +85 units per day o March: +422 RNA or +14 units per day ➢ On the books occupancy is down -0.6% (-5.6% last month) over last year, while historic actual occupancy is down -5.8% (-3.8% last month) over last year ➢ On the books ADR is up +3.7% (+2.6% last month) over last year, while historic actual ADR is down -1.0% (-0.3% last month) over last year ➢ On the books RevPAR is up +3.1% (-3.2% last month) over last year while historic actual RevPAR is down -6.8% (- 5.2% last month) over last year Summer Season: ➢ September gained +8.3% as an absolute measure of occupancy in September o Bookings made in September for September are up +0.7% in absolute variance vs those made last year in September for September ➢ October gained +6.4% as an absolute measure of occupancy in September o Bookings made in September for October are up +0.9% in absolute variance vs those made last year in September for October ➢ As a measure of RevPAR summer season is now down -7.1% (-8.3% last month) compared to last year as of September 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of ADR summer season is now down -0.6% (-0.3% last month) compared to last year as of September 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of Occupancy summer season is now down -6.5% (-8.0% last month) compared to last year as of September 30, 2018 ➢ No months are showing an occupancy gain over last summer season ➢ September and October are showing ADR gains over last summer season Copyright (c) 2019, Sterling Valley Systems All Rights Reserved. Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com Winter Season: ➢ November gained +4.7% as an absolute measure of occupancy in September o Bookings made in September for November are up +1.4% in absolute variance vs those made last year in September for November ➢ December gained +5.5% as an absolute measure of occupancy in September o Bookings made in September for December are up +0.8% in absolute variance vs those made last year in September for December ➢ January gained +6.3% as an absolute measure of occupancy in September o Bookings made in September for January are up +1.6% in absolute variance vs those made last year in September for January ➢ March is now on the books, showing 20.5% occupancy, up +3.4% over last year at this time (19.9%) ➢ As a measure of RevPAR, winter season is now up +3.4% (-2.4% last month) compared to last year as of September 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of ADR, winter season is now up +3.7% (+2.2% last month) compared to last year as of September 30, 2018 ➢ As a measure of Occupancy, winter season is now down -0.3% (-4.6% last month) compared to last year as of September 30, 2018 ➢ November, December, and March are showing occupancy gains over last winter season ➢ November, January, February, and March are showing ADR gains over last winter season (This space is intentionally left blank) Copyright (c) 2019, Sterling Valley Systems All Rights Reserved. Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com DOR PRODUCTION NOTES: September: ➢ September experienced little activity since the last report o There are +728 (+3025 last report) more bookings for the month than last year at this time o The 8th continues to show the largest outperformance versus last year, up by +21.4% (+23.3% last report) o The largest underperformance is on the 22nd, down – 17.7% o Inventory is lower than last year for the entire month October: ➢ October has experienced some fill around the beginning of the month o There are +426 (-305 last report) more bookings for the month than last year at this time o The 22nd had been experiencing a large underperformance versus last year, which has decreased its variance since the last report, and now stands -12.3% down (-11.6% last report) o The day before Halloween is outperforming last year by +18.5% (+16.3% last report) o Halloween is down -3.2% (-3.1% last report) o Inventory is higher than last year for the entire month November: ➢ November has experienced an increase in bookings around the first and last week of the month, since the last report o There are +1861 (+502 last report) more bookings than last year at this time o The largest outperformances are confined to the end of the month, and have increased their outperformance since last report, a measured noted in the last 2 reports o November 27th is experiencing the largest outperformance, up +16.1% (+14% last report) over last year o Thanksgiving Day is up +14.6% (+11.5% last month) over last year o Inventory is higher than last year for the entire month December: ➢ December is mostly outperforming last year for the entire month o There are +3610 (+2211 last report) more bookings than last year at this time o The largest outperformance is on the 22nd, up +8.7% over last year at this time o Christmas is now up +2.2% (-0.14% last report) over last year at this time o New Year’s Eve is up +4.9% (+3.0% last report) over last year at this time o Inventory is higher than last year for the entire month Copyright (c) 2019, Sterling Valley Systems All Rights Reserved. Communications@Inntopia.com www.Inntopia.com January: ➢ January continues to underperform last year for the majority of the month o There are -2954 (-3132 last report) less bookings than last year at this time o The largest losses are noticed on the 22nd and 23rd, down -18.7% and -20.3% respectively (-17.8% and - 20.5% respectively last report) o The largest outperformance is noted on the 28th, up +9.2% (+7.5% last report), and the 1st, up +7% over last year o Inventory is higher than last year for the entire month February: ➢ February is performing close to last year for the first week of the month, while the rest of the month is underperforming last year o There are -2943 (-2698 last report) less bookings than last year at this time o The largest underperformance is on the 10th, down -18.6% (-19.8% last report) versus last year at this time o The largest outperformance is on the 6th, up +6.9% (+6.4% last report) versus last year at this time o Inventory is higher than last year for the entire month March: ➢ March is showing week to week changes in outperformance or underperformance o There are +1986 (+1354 last report) more bookings than last year at this time o The largest outperformance is on the 15th, up +9.6% (+9.9% last report) over last year at this time o The largest underperformance is on the 5th, down -4.8% over last year at this time o Inventory is higher than last year for the entire month
