HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-11 Adopting a Joint Paratransit Plan with the Town of Avon and the City of LeadvilleRESOLUTION NO. 91 SERIES 1992 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A JOINT PARATRANSIT PLAN WITH THE TOWN OF AVON AND THE CITY OF LEADViLLE. WHEREAS, Title II of the Americans Disabilities Act prohibits State and local governments from discriminating against disabled people; and WHEREAS, Title 11 also requires public transportation vehicles and facilities to be accessible to disabled riders; and WHEREAS, the Town of Vail has contracted and coordinated mass transit operation with the Town of Avon and the City of Leadville; and WHEREAS, the Town of Avon, the Town of Vail, and the City of Leadville have jointly cooperated to publish a plan that will meet and comply with the Americans Disabilities Act for regional mass transportation. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Vail, Colorado that: 1. The Town Council hereby designates adopts the Americans Disabilities Act A Joint Paratransit Dian dated July, 1992, in order to meet all the requirements of Title II of the ADA Federal Regulations. public as provided for in 24-6-402(1)(c), C.R.S., as amended. 2.
