VVP VLMD Monthly Report DEC20 To: Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council From: Chris Romer, Vail Valley Partnership Date: January 4, 2021 Re: December 2021 Group Sales Dashboard Key Performance Indicators Description Monthly YTD 2021 New Group Leads Generated 7 145 Total Leads Generated Includes Repeat 8 154 Active Leads in Pipeline 26 N/A CVENT Leads 3 73 Cancelled and Lost Business 6 151 Site Visits 1 (Virtual) 8 Member/Lodging Partner Engagement: • Bi-Weekly Meetings with DOS Advisory Council from Vail Lodging Community • Attended two VLMD Partner Meetings and monthly Board Meeting • Working with Town of Vail and Vail Resorts to shift MTS sponsorship from 2021 to 2022 Marketing/Media Efforts: • Attended industry related webinars/virtual meeting – communicate trends/forecasts • SalesForce Renewal for 2021 – Consolidated all records under one user (Kim Brussow) • Working with Destination CO to form an alliance with other Colorado DMO’s to discuss best practices and other industry related ideas. Executive Summary: Shifting gears in January, to become a more strategic partner with the lodging community, to better position the brand. • Work with Cvent to beef up advertising & marketing (promos/need dates) • Create template in SendSites for future eblasts/promos • Determine option that will provide best ROI with CO Meetings & Events advertising • Research “paid search” options – group sales related terms • Reach out to all VLMD Board Members – welcome new board members • Collaborate with VLMD/Cactus to develop promo site for Discovervail.com • Continue to attend industry related webinars • Coordinate site tours and provide tradeshow coop opportunities on behalf of lodging partners
