Social Media Links 3 Login 1.Navigate to the Vail Valley Partnership website at www.vailvalleypartnership.com 2.Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on the “Member Login” link in the footer. 3.Login with your registered username and password. If you forgot your password, click on the “Lost your password?” link for help resetting it. An email will be sent to the associated email address on file with instructions for how to reset the password. 4 Using Your VVP Membership Account 1.After successful login, you will be taken to the dashboard panel which will allow you to update your business listing, upload events to the online calendar, post job listings, and add news to the newsroom. Posts 2.The Posts tab displays a listing of all your posts for the VVP newsroom. Posts can include press releases, specials, or information about your company. *For Silver Level or higher members, the Dashboard allows you to download the opt- in leads lists in an Excel-friendly CSV format, filtered by month and interest. 5 Using Your VVP Membership Account a. Posts 3.The New Post screen allows you to specify a post title, author, category, tags, and content. The content field provides the ability to format your post content by add- ing links, controlling text alignment, adding bold and italics to text, and various other options. Be sure to always select “Community Press Release” under Categories on the right side of the page. Select "Visitor Information" to post onto VisitVailValley.com. After entering the required post information, click the blue Publish button in order to finish creating the post. b. Events 4.Use the Events tab to manage and create events for your business. The panel on the right will provide a listing of all your current events with some basic information, such as the event title, category, and the event date. In order to create a new event, click the “Add Event” button at the very top by the Events heading. Images can be included with your listing. To include an image, click on “Set Featured Image” on the right side of the page and upload the image. Images need to be 1MB or smaller, a maximum of 600 px wide, and formatted as .JPG. 6 Using Your VVP Membership Account b. Events 5.Every event has fields for an event title, category, start date, end date, event times, location, and a description. Only the start and end dates are required. The Event Categories box on the right, below the Publish button, allows you to categorize your event in multiple categories. The two major categories are Vail Valley Partnership and Visit Vail Valley. Selecting Vail Valley Partnership as a category will set the event to display at www.vailvalleypartnership.com, while selecting Visit Vail Valley will allow the event to display at www.visitvailvalley.com. The Visit Vail Valley category should only be clicked if this event is geared toward tourists or visitors. If necessary, both of these categories can be selected to show the event on both sites. Don’t forget to select sub-categories, to better categorize your event. Additionally, if the event has available volunteer opportunities, check the Volunteer Opportunities category and fill out the Volunteer Opportunities text area in the Additional Event Information box under the general event information. The same process applies for Zero Waste Events. 7 Using Your VVP Membership Account b. Events 6.Fill in the necessary information and then click the Publish button. The event will show up in the listing now and allow you to edit, view, clone (duplicate) or delete it. c. Business Listing 7.The Business tab allows you to update and edit your business listing. Click on your business to get started. The information in this profile corresponds to what is shown for your listing publicly in the online business directory. 8 Using Your VVP Membership Account c. Business Listing 8.Here in your business listing you can edit business information such as the business category, description, number of employees, date established, website address, phone number, address information, business contacts, and add social media links. 9.Two address information tabs are provided as you scroll down, the mailing address and the physical address. You may choose to display either the Mailing or Physical Address for your listing in the online business directory or to display no address. 9 Using Your VVP Membership Account c. Business Listing 10.The “Main” tab contains basic information related to the main business contact. Additionally, if the Subscribe to Emails option is set, this contact will receive regular VVP email updates. A secondary contact can be specified in the Secondary tab and other additional contacts may be added in the Add’l Contacts tab. 11.If you are a Silver level member or above, upload your logo image in a JPG or PNG format. This logo will display in your featured business listing. Your business logo should not exceed 450 x 1000 and should be formatted as a JPEG. Please title your .jpg “Business Name_Logo”. Using Your VVP Membership Account d.Social Media Links 10 13.The "Social Media" tab includes fields where you can add links to your organization's social media pages. These will show up as click able icons on the public business directory if completed. 11 Using Your VVP Membership Account e. Job Listings 12.The Job Listings tab provides a list of your current job listings. Click the Add New button to create a new job listing. 13.Inside the new job listing, you can specify the job title, description, the name of your business, and the expiration date for the posting. The business name, “How to Apply“ section and expiration date are all required fields. 12 Using Your VVP Membership Account f. Profile 14.The “Profile” tab allows you to update basic user information such as the first and last name of the business contact, email, and password. This information is what you will use to login to your account. To update your password, click "Generate Password". Then highlight and delete what is auto populated and enter what you would like the new password to be. Always remember to press the blue "Update Profile" button to save any changes.
