VLMD Monthly Report MAY21 To: Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council From: Chris Romer, Vail Valley Partnership Date: June 2, 2021 Re: May 2021 Group Sales Dashboard Key Performance Indicators Description Monthly YTD 2021 New Group Leads Generated 32 93 Total Leads Generated Includes Repeat 35 104 Active Leads in Pipeline 52 52 at EOM CVENT Leads 27 73 Cancelled and Lost Business 23 58 Site Visits 2 2 Lodging Partner Engagement: • Total YTD leads are ahead of pace by 5% from 2019 and 27% ahead of pace from 2020 • 54% of current pipeline is for group programs in 2021 • 12 groups contracted in the month of May – 7 short term, in the year, for the year • Monthly Lead Status Update to Lodging Partners • Provided COVID Dial/5 Star Variance Updates • Bi-Weekly Meetings with DOS Advisory Council from Vail Lodging Community • Attended monthly VLMD Board Meeting & Partner Meeting on Behavioral Brand Marketing • Lodging Community Forum Meeting in partnership with Eagle County Health Marketing/Media Efforts: • Eblast to 954 IL planners and 581 GA planners, promoting new summer flights • Worked on Meetings & Conferences section for content/photos on DiscoverVail.com • Destination Analyst – Travel Sentiment Update • Worked with VLMD/Cactus on Eagle Airport ad & testimonial content Executive Summary/What’s Next for June: • Vail Spring Update Meeting with Mark Heron • Continue to attend weekly industry related webinar(s) • Continue to finalize content for DiscoverVail.com – Meetings & Conferences section • Two site visits planned for end of June – American Bar Association (155 Room Nights for January 2022) and Tire Industry Association (100 room nights for June 2022) • Attend VLMD Board & Partner Meetings • Follow up on CTO Meetings & Incentives Program for State of CO • Start process of coordinating three site visits for the month of July and one for Sept. 2021
