Dear Wally:
I want to clearly convey the recent situation with the north
gyn wall of Red Sandstone Elenentary School .
Inst night (Monday, July 28) , a water mud mixture lilas
spouting out of itre walt at ibout 20 feet up. The water kicked
out aUout eight feet before landing on the floor- I called Gary
Murrain and Joe Norris of our Connunity Development Department who
irnrnediately cane up to the grlm to check out the situation. Both
felt the situation was severe enough to contact you and have the
sclrool district get an engineer to observe the situation
imroediately.
I have a glmnastics carnp with 120 kids in the gym all .weeklong. The Sch;ol Districtrs-decision will dictate any actions on
the continuation of the Recreation Programs in the gryrn. I am
relying on ttre judgenent then of those who can most accurately
assess the situation.
From our telephone discussion this morning, I understand that
you will be reviewing the situation and basinqf the schooldistricts reaction on what you find. Please keep me appraised of
the ongoing happenings and ill decisions made regarding the gryn.
