A.l.A. skylights are easlly installed on any type ol roof uslng a 1lla" or wlder curb
with a mihimum height ol 4" to 6" (check building codes for local requlrements.)
Flash around curb with metal flashing or membrane roofing to insure a water
tight installation. Finish interior well with drywall or wood.
Framing Recommendations
A.l.A. Skylights are built to sizes which simplify framing
and installation. The following drawings show recom-
mended framing for our most popular residential styles.
Shaft Designs
A liqht shaft will be needed if there is space between
the-ceilinq and roof. This shaft may be finished with
plywood, ?rywall, paneling etc.. To reflecl the max'
inium amouirt of tight we iecommend a white or light
