Chalet has been hired to design an addition to the existing single-family residence at 4250 Spruce Way. We have invested
considerable effort in designing a home that is compatible with the style and quality of the neighborhood.
The project includes a side addition to an existing single family residence. This includes partial demo, interior remodel,
relocation of driveway and pedestrian access, new siding of exterior, new hot tub with pad, rear deck expansion, and regrading
around the SE side of the addition.

1.5QUALITY ASSURANCE

3.1EXAMINATION
A.Do not place integrally colored concrete where standing water is present.
3.2INSTALLATON
A.Comply with color admixture manufacturer’s recommendations unless otherwise specified in this
Section.
3.3FORMED SURFACES
A.Structural Concrete:
1.Provide ACI 301 Surface Finish SF-3.0:
a.Patch voids larger than inch wide or inch deep.
b.Remove projections larger than inch.
c.Patch tie holes.
2.Match sample finish. Contractor must reproduce a mockup of the sample finish on an area at least
100 square feet.
3.Surface Tolerance: ACI 117:
a.Class A (+1/8 inch maximum irregularities).
b.Class B (+1/4 inch maximum irregularities).
c.Class C (+1/2 inch maximum irregularities).
d.Class D (+1 inch maximum irregularities).
B.Architectural Concrete

1.Fill holes and defects in concrete surface within 48 hours of form removal.

3.Make patches with stiff mortar made with materials from same sources as concrete. Adjust
mortar mix proportions so dry patch matches dry adjacent concrete. Add white cement to mortar

3.4FLATWORK
A.Finishing:

dampen brooms.
