Mayor John A. Dobson
Trustcis Thomas Steinberg
Trustee Sohn Donovan
Trustee Richard Bailey
ABSENT: Trustee Todd Anderson
Trustee G*rW White
Trustee Clayton Freeman
OTHERS PRESENT: Terrell J. Minger

I. Bus Station: Mr. Minger reported the status of the IB.txS Station --
Closer than Most Construction vi ll tear apart and move the structure
•to the new location and reassemblp, it for a cost of $3,000.00. Mr.
Bob Nott of Vail Associates has con.f,irmed the availability of the new
site with the exception of the fact that in the event the land is
Gold the building must be relocated. It was the general consensus of
the Board Members present that in the event that the land'was available
for only one year that it would sti7;l ,ate in the best interest of the
Town to utilize this _central location and alleviate the congestion of
the bus station on Gore Creek Drive. The Continental Bus Company will
be paying rent to the Town in the amount of $150.00 per month, plus the
utilit7as, which will help defer the cost of moving the building. The
building will not have any toilet facilities, although there will be
facil.'•..tiss available in the adjacent building. The Board agreed un-
aniAnously to approve the moving of the building onto the new site,
1xider the specified conditions from Vail Associates; and it was further
,gi,,eed that the Town should have the building itself donated to the
":'.,•;ri by Vail Associates.
STREFT PAVING. Mr.. Minger reported that some temporary measures
Love bee taken Tooholddown the dust problem on Gore Creek Drive and
r•t, Schober seems to be temporarily satisfied. Mayor Dobson suggested
.at someone be kept on 'this job and keep the dust down as much as
q-,J,le and wait for repaving until such time as all of the construc-
":!_-n afiecti_ng this street has been completed. As of this date the
;tjsenquist building is progressing very slowly which indicates that it
will not he completed until the end of the summer season.
!II. TELEPHONE COMPANY LINES (UNDERGROUND): Mr. Minger advised the
Board t,.1 has indicated that they do not intend
to immeuiatel.y pint their lines underground. The former Town Manager,
Mr El;lc^ synch, had made committments to the Home Owners Association
concerning this situation and the work had been scheduled Since this
tXme Holy C,..oss Electric has decided to start digging in order to put
their lines underground; the Telephone Company is using the same poles
as the %lwctric Co7igany and although the poles belong to Holy Cross
I'i.ectric i-<<3 Telephone Company would have the right to continue using
them even 'though Holy Cross did vacate the pots and put tiaeir lines
underground. The Telephone Company, as of this date, is claiming a
shortage in cable to enable them to take these lines underground,
( a total of approximately one mile of cable). Mayor Dobson called
The Denver Office and spoke to Mr. Loss of the Telephone Company re-
garding this situation. Mr. Loss agreed to look into the matter and
call Mr. Minger to inform him of his findings and decision.
IV. ro,nl OFFICE STATUS: Due to uncontrolable circumstances the Post
office .ill need to reckesign their building and will be unable to build
this fall. However, they will put it out to bid so that the Non -
Profit Corporation will know where it stands financia.3ly.
61SCELLANEOUS MATTERS: Hans Weibel has been parking his jeep
iri rront of t Casino ani claims to have a lease agreement with
Charles Gersbach to do so. This situation is causing problems for the
traffic control Officer to maintain strict control of parked cars on
Bridge Street. Mayor Dobson phoned Mr. Gersbach regarding this
situation and was informed by Mr. Gersbach that there are plans to
andscape in front of the Casino which would eliminate Hans from
parking.
Mr. Weeden has a crane parked over by the InterFaith Chapel and is
seeking permission to drive it across the bridge for relocation to the
Rosenquist building site. Mr. Minger.stated that the crane was
overweight and had already fractured two bridges. It was the decision
of the Board members present that Mr.. Weeden should either obtain a
smaller crane or perhaps go through the stream.
Harold Carver, Fir^hitect, called the Town Office and advised that he
had included an addendum to the specifications of the Municipal
Building --a December 15th deadline on the bottom basement shell.
Trustee Bailey suggested an alternate bid proposal --one completion date
instead of 'edch section of the building as a small project; with a
completion date of mid March. Mr. Minger stated that the Police Depart-
ment would definitely not be able to extend their lease. Mayor Dobson
suggested that perhaps Mr.. Gaynor Miller could be approached as to
whether there would be any space available in the Mountain Haus to
h•.:use the Police until more permanent facilities were located.
I!r. Parker and Mr. Almond of Vail Associates called the 'Town Offices
and asked Mr. Minger to consider and ask the Board periniasion to parti-
^_iptee in a b»sing system again this year. It was Mr. Mingers opinion
-bat the busing va.n•ture last season was a total loss. Our cost last
3,iason was q'6,000.00. Busing to the LionsHead area should be consider-
od a. spenialized benefit for Vail Associates and Mayor Dobson felt
chr:,t the Town should not become involved. 'Trustee Dailey and Trustee
Dojv-oyan felt: that perhaps the Town could pay a small donation for the
'-'roject bt:t certainly not as much as last year and the Town should
become involved in the actual workings of the project.
.;, t.r, furthter business the meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.
